I have been rather distracted recently by my father's terminal illness and by his passing last week.
I have made most of the internal links more precise so that they take you right to or very near the subject rather than simply on the same page. I also replaced the banner ad with a booksearch box and changed the appearance of the main page to give it a more "professional" look.
I will be doing some more "fine tuning" , however, in the near future. Those who would like to put up mirror sites should read the notes in "mirror.txt" especially the part about lowercase file names.

At last, the long awaited update, and what an update it is!
Though there are few changes to the content, the format is radically different. The table of contents and index are now hypertext linked (yes, I really did do that!). I have also reformatted the text using HTML tags instead of using preformatted text. I have taken advantage of font commands and some of the other features of HTML as well to make it look more like a real HTML document instead of just a text document that was "ported over".
Now that I am using the hypertext link system instead of the old style page numbers, it will be easier to do updates to the text since I won't have to readjust the page numbers. In the future there will be more cross reference links within the document itself.
The file LORDWF20.ZIP contains the HTML files as well as the graphics used in this FAQ. You can view this document offline by just unzipping this file into a directory on your hard drive and then opening ONLINE.HTML with your web browser. The links are designed so that they will work as long as all the files are in the same directory. Note that there are a couple of links which link to webpages rather than to other parts of the document, these links will not work if you are offline, but all the internal links will work just fine.
Those who would like put up mirror sites must read the file "mirror.txt" or the page "masters.html" for conditions and instructions. It's really quite easy!

In case you haven't heard:
DOS LORD and TEOS have been sold to Metropolis!!!!
Sethable is no longer responsible for writing DOS LORD or for
registrations. For more details see Sethable's site at rtsoft.com and
the Metropolis website at gameport.com
This was a complete surprise to me, as I'm sure it was too most of you!
I'm not prepared to speculate as to how this will effect the future of
DOSLORD. It probably will *not* affect WTLORD but you never know...
The WTLORD section has been expanded and is now a seperate file.
I've revamped the online FAQ page. It's at: www.3dham.com/onlne.html
That's basically it for this editon (isn't that enough?).

The new domain is up and running, as is the new EMAIL address. The
Major indexes and search engines should have it soon. Because the new
domain is independant of my ISP, it should be pretty much permanent.
Now if I can just get all those webmasters to change their links...
Nov 15,1997
There are a few changes with 4.0, mostly minor.
There are a few tips in the IGMTIPS file.
I have now included some notes on TLORD, this section will be expanded
as I find out more about TLORD.
I will soon be changing the website to a new, hopefully more
reliable, server and will have a domain name: 3dham.com, look for it!

I discovered that some IGMs which let you rename your weapon/armor
have filtered out the documented mail codes. However, they did not
filter out at least two *undocumented* mail codes. Thus you might be
able to use "`k" instead of "`K" and "`o" instead of "`O".
Aug 3,1997
I have added a few tips regarding IGMs. I have also started a new
program for public contributions regarding IGMs. See the MISC section
for more details.
NOTE TO SYSOPS:
when resetting games PLEASE delete PLAYEXT.DAT!
This file contains the data for Olivia and is not properly reset when
the game is reset. This can be deleted even after the game has been
going a while without hurting anything.
The reason for doing this is that Olivia might recognize a player as
being mean to her because the player with the same slot number was mean
to her in the last game. Since olivia never gives players a second
chance, this puts such a player at a tremendous disadvantage through no
fault of their own!

I've added a credits section and expanded the index. The index is now
available as a separate file for those who may wish to print it out. I
added a new trick in RUMFLUFF.TXT involving a "flash" in the flowers. I
discovered a little quirk in the way the "dirt" works. Version 1.3 is
now ready for release.

I have done some reorganizing. Now all the parts are less than 32K so
that I can use my spell checker. :)
I had to add some custom words like "email, L.O.R.D., 3dham, etc., FAQ,
and so on. "hitpoints" may not be acceptable in Scrabble, but it is
considered a word in this FAQ. Can you believe that it suggested I
replace "Elson" with "Nelson"? How dare it!
BTW, if you though that the index in the last version got cut off
before it was finished, you're right! My editor cut it off at line
1000. Now that I am working with 32K pieces that shouldn't happen
again.
For internet users who insist on seeing this FAQ online, it can now be
found at my Website:

Bummer about Richie, isn't it?
I have expanded the index and repaged as appropriate. I also added
leader dots to every other line of the table of contents and the index.
This makes them easier to follow.
Well, looks like version 1.2 is ready for release now!
May 21,1997
I've been busy working on my webpage (www.3dham.com). I decided to
put the page on hold for now and get back to working on this. The
webpage is functional, there just isn't much on it!
Correct spelling is "tomorrow","forest", and "recommend".
I have also clarified the part about special skills, and added more
details about some bugs.
Thanks go to "Draxl"!

It never fails! Just after releasing version 1.1 I discovered that
children actually wipe out 1/2 of your enemy's damage points. This
correction has been added. Thanks to Shaun Meeks and others who pointed
this out, though I already made the correction before I got the EMAIL.
Like I said, I consider this a work in progress, and there are probably
things about L.O.R.D. that even Sethable doesn't know!
Apr 12,1997
Most paragraphs are blocked now, that seems to make it easier to read
off the screen.
The table of contents and paging has been redone.
A brief index is ready and with that, so is version 1.1!
Apr 9,1997
I have included a table of monster data. Some people insisted that this
be included. I will also work on some specific notes about which
monsters are more dangerous for a specific level.
Apr 7,1997
I just knew that as soon as I released the intial version I'd find
something wrong. I've corrected at least 7 typos. Most notable of them
was the line which read " this faq is far from perfct". :)
I also neglected to include a note about the game's profanity checking.
I had intended to include that in the first release.
I've also started working on that index.
Apr 5,1997
Initial release. Sethable seems impressed. I'll have to
see how everyone else sees it. It's been about 3 weeks since I've
started this project and I've been working on it off and on.
